Dr. Carol Williams (San Diego Civic Organist Emerita 2001-2017) is an internationally acclaimed performing concert organist and composer from a Welsh family celebrated for her captivating presence and genre-spanning musical voice. She has performed on many of the world’s great stages, enchanting audiences with exceptional artistry and a subtle, straight-faced British wit.
Dr. Carol is a trailblazer whose career blends rigorous classical training with an adventurous spirit, bringing the organ to diverse audiences through concerts, media, and charitable work. Her life reflects a deep-rooted passion for music, nurtured from childhood, and her accomplishments include breaking gender barriers, performing globally, and creating innovative content.
Beyond the concert hall, Carol is an equestrian with a deep love for animals. She frequently performs fundraising concerts in support of animal rescues, the American Red Cross and military veterans, first responders, and firefighters.
Carol lives with her husband Kerry Bell, film producer/editor and US Navy vet. Together using her music to uplift and give back to the communities they cherishes.
