Who is Dr. Carol

Dr. Carol Williams is an internationally acclaimed concert organist, composer, and educator from a Welsh musical family. Appointed Hull City Hall Organist in the United Kingdom in 2026, she also holds the title of San Diego Civic Organist Emerita (2001–2017), reflecting a distinguished career spanning two internationally renowned civic concert organs.
Renowned for her captivating performances, Dr. Carol combines virtuoso artistry with an engaging stage presence and a subtle, straight-faced British wit that has delighted audiences around the world.
Classically trained yet always innovative, Dr. Carol has helped redefine the organ for modern audiences through international concerts, recordings, educational outreach, broadcasts, and digital media. At Hull City Hall—home to the United Kingdom's third-largest concert hall organ—she leads and expands the celebrated Organ Showcase Series while continuing to inspire musicians of all ages to discover the beauty and versatility of the organ.
Away from the concert platform, Carol is a lifelong equestrian and passionate advocate for animal welfare. She regularly presents fundraising concerts supporting animal rescue organizations, the American Red Cross, military veterans, first responders, and firefighters.
Carol lives with her husband, Kerry Bell, a film producer, editor, writer, and U.S. Navy veteran. Together they create educational and inspirational music programs that celebrate the organ, support charitable causes, and bring classical music to audiences worldwide.
