Centennial Spreckels Fanfare for Organ

Centennial Spreckels Fanfare was written by Carol Williams for the 100th Anniversary of the great open air Spreckels Organ in Balboa Park, San Diego. It was first performed at the Centennial concert Celebration by the Civic Organist of San Diego, Dr Carol Williams, on the 31 December 2014. One hundred years to the day, the then Civic Organist, Dr. Humphrey Stewart (also British born) performed his Processional March from the music drama Montezuma. Dr. Williams wanted to honor this and write something specifically for this historic occasion. The work also highlights the new Centennial Tuba which has been added to the organ. This work is dedicated to George Hardy, President of the Spreckels Organ Society. He has achieved so much for this unique world organ.
